David wrote this Psalm after acting like a madman in front of Achish and surviving. In this Psalm, he said, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.” We are learning about David’s heart with the theme of uniting our hearts with God’s heart, and the most significant feature of his heart was that it was thoroughly broken. Saul was good-looking, born into a wealthy family, and received a lot of love from his father. However, by becoming king without trials, he had become a king who was prideful and disobedient to God’s will. God regretted this and trained David so that he would not experience the same destruction as Saul. David was called “a man after God’s own heart,” but he was by no means a perfect believer. Rather, he committed a variety of sins and had many failures. God repeatedly placed David through trials to crush his ego. Jesus said, “If a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it produces many seeds.” This is a law common to both the natural and spiritual worlds. In fact, Jesus left His equal status with God and came to earth as a man. He lowered Himself to die on the cross and be buried in the tomb. As a result, He realized the salvation of mankind, and the fruit of salvation continues to bear fruit around the world today. Likewise, when we are put to a trial, our pride and ego can be crushed. When our souls are crushed, we learn humility, and only then can the Holy Spirit work through us. The training itself is never pleasant. However, through it we can live a life of fruition. God is a powerful God, and we have His Spirit. Whether or not that power is expressed in the
world depends on our hearts. Let us submit ourselves to God’s handling. God trains those he loves to bear the fruits of righteousness.
ダビデは、アキシュの前で気狂いを装い、一命を取り留めた後、 この詩篇を書いた 。この詩の中で彼はこう語った。「神は心の打ち 砕かれた者の近くにおられる。」私達は、神の心と私達の心を一 つにすることをテーマにダビデの心について学んでいるが、彼の 心の最も大きな特徴は、徹底的に砕かれた事であろう。サウルは 容姿に恵まれ、また豊かな家庭で愛を受けて育った。試練無くし て王になった事で、彼は高ぶり、神の御心に背く王となってしまっ た。それを悔いた神は、ダビデがサウルと同じ滅亡を歩まぬように、彼を訓練したのだ。ダビデは「神の御心に適ったもの」と呼ば れたが、決して完璧な信仰者ではなかった。むしろ彼の人生には 罪と失敗が多かった。神は繰り返し、ダビデを試練の中に置くことで、彼の自我を砕いたのだ。イエスは「一粒の種が地に落ちて死ねば、豊かな実を結ぶ」と語られた。これは自然界にも霊の世界にも共通する法則であり、種も人も下降する事なくして実を結ぶ事は出来ないのだ。実にイエスは神である姿を捨てて、人となり地上に来られた。十字架で死に、墓に葬られるまでにご自身を低 くされた。その結果、彼は人類の救いを実現し、救いの実は今日に至るまで世界中で結ばれ続けている。同様に、私達も試練の中に置かれ、高慢さや自我が砕かれる事がある。私達の魂が砕かれる時、私達は謙遜を学び、その時に初めて聖霊は私達を通して働けるようになるのだ。訓練そのものは決して喜ばしいものではない。しかし、それを通して私達は結実の人生を歩めるようになる。神は力ある神であり、また私達は神の霊である御霊を持っている。その力がこの世に表されるかどうかは、私達の心にかかっているのだ。私達は、神の取り扱いに身を委ねよう。神は愛する者を訓練され、義の実を結ばせて下さる。
